Christmas Cares/Unions Share

Each year, UFCW Local 1059 partners with St. Stephen’s Community House in Columbus and the Central Ohio Labor Council to feed families in need during the holidays. Together, our efforts bring meals to over 3,000 families across Franklin County and beyond.

Though it is primarily a program for Central Ohio, UFCW Local 1059 union members who are facing difficulty may participate no matter where they call home. Help a co-worker by talking to your Local 1059 Union Representative prior to the November registration deadline.

Our Union staff play a crucial role in the food solicitation, coordination, and delivery throughout the event. The event would not be possible without the generous support of St. Stephen’s Community House’s dedicated union volunteers, the Central Ohio Labor Council, the food donated by union employers, and union employer WestRock, whose UFCW Local 1059 members in Lancaster produced the cardboard boxes used throughout the event.
